The ‘Middle East Retail Academy: 2011 Awards’ also include a Hall of Fame category. These special awards recognise outstanding achievement in the Middle East retail channel over a number of years. For induction into the MERA Hall of Fame an individual must have personally won at least two awards at previous MERA Awards ceremonies.

Those individuals meeting this criteria must also have their induction into the MERA Hall of Fame ratified and approved by the MERA committee and VIP panel members. Please note that Individuals qualifying for induction into the MERA Hall of Fame are exempted from nomination for other individual award categories in the same year.

The MERA Hall of Fame represents an elite club of VIP individuals that have made a significant contribution to the Middle East retail channel over a number of years – be it within a vendor, distributor or retailer.
